KIBI-HAIJI

Rendaiji
Sakurai-shi, Kibi-cho

In the Kibi district of Kashihara-shi, two archaeological sites, in the neighborhoods known by the names of Daijin-yabu and Rendaiji, respectively, have produced tiles from the latter half of the 7th century. Both are called "Kibi-haiji" (meaning "abandoned temple sites in Kibi district").One or the other is thought perhaps to have been the ujidera of the Kibi clan.
